Bio and work
Ingrid Jensen is now based in Herefordshire, but as a military child has lived in 12 other UK counties, often in the countryside. She has also lived in Yemen and Norway, briefly in Australia, and has studied and worked in Canada, the US and the UK as an artist, biologist, curator , arts administrator, and teacher.
Her practice currently combines long standing interests in ecology and history with learning about the rewards and difficulties facing farming. She loves line, form, colour and materiality, but also the freedom of expression provided by contemporary and conceptual art. Plaster cowpats and opinionated manequins jostle for space with drawings, paintings and photographs.
